Elf Breakfast 2015! The Year of the Reindeer!

Kayleigh & Kaylin

Welcome to your Elf Breakfast
  2015

This year was the “Year of the Reindeer”! I love that there are always new and exciting things coming from the North Pole! K loves her elves Selsie and Cherry Cinnamon and this year, they brought a special reindeer to visit! She named him Hazelnut and was so happy that she could hold him!

The elves brought special goodies for K and her best friend and they munched on French toast and chocolate chips. The elves had a picnic as well with tiny m&m’s, gingerbread marshmallows and chocolate chips. They even had tiny red solo cups for their orange juice! Such fun!!

I hope you have a wonderful and magical holiday season!

Elf Shenanigans 2013- Part 3!

So our cute little elves decided to try to pack Kayleigh's lunch on Sunday the 22nd, not realizing that she would be on vacation! Selsie chose marshmallows, Christmas tree cakes, and chocolate chip muffins. Kayleigh kindly thanked him and proceeded to ask me if she could eat it anyway.  Oh, dear.

That night, the girls had a sleep over under the Christmas tree. Tis the season for making memories, right? Who wouldn't want to do that?! The elves were pretty tired after their flight back from the North Pole, so they ransacked my sock drawer and found my fluffy, comfy, cozy red and white striped socks. They used these as sleeping bags and joined the girls that night in the living room. So cute!

Today, the elves brought Kayleigh a great gift from them. A baking set complete with a cute elf chef hat and apron that said, "I love my family" and Kayleigh's said, "I love my elf". She adored it and quickly made plans to make them their favorite cookies.

Tonight the elves fly back to Santa and it seems that the holiday season flew by even faster this year for some reason. Maybe because Thanksgiving came later. In any case, it went too fast. Just like Kayleigh is growing up too fast. I can't believe six years have gone by so quickly. That is why I write to her and journal and blog and create beautiful photo books. These memories are what is important- not the gifts or the money or the house or the clothes- but these wonderful times together that will live on and on and possibly become traditions she will use one day. Life is often short on magic but with a little luck and Magic Elf Dust, that can be changed.  Have a very Merry Christmas from my family to yours!

Elf Shenanigans 2013- Part 2!

So our little rascals have been pretty busy! On the 17th of December, Selsie and Cherry Cinnamon decided to get into the shaving cream and leave Kayleigh a message! Selsie did that last year but Cherry wanted a turn. Selsie decided to make a Santa beard with shaving cream. Too funny!

On December 18th, Selsie and Cherry sat up high with marshmallow lollipops to survey the scene....

Then, on December 19th, Pocoyo wrapped Selsie up in red ribbon and Cherry in red and white ribbon and put Selsie on the train tracks! Poor Selsie! I'm not sure, but it looks as if Cherry is laughing....

December 20th Selsie and Cherry got into the toilet paper and decided to make a game out of it! Ahh, elf shenanigans! Kids do NOT try that at home!

December 21st, Selsie and Cherry TP'd the tree!!! Those mischievous little elves! They hid together over the fridge giggling.....

Stay tuned for Elf Shenanigans- Part 3 coming soon!!!

Merry Christmas!

Elf Shenanigans 2013- Part 1

November 29th
Selsie came back and brought with him some Magic Candy Cane Seeds- complete with instructions- of course! Kayleigh followed them to the sugar granule- er- letter. She planted them deep and made a wish and the next morning…….

The Candy Canes grew!!!! What fun! They had curly tops and were very “elf-like”. Kayleigh enjoyed them very much.

December 1st
This was the day that Selsie presented us with another Elf Breakfast! We invited our little neighbor over to share in the festivities and Selsie had brought another little girl elf to share in the fun this year! Kayleigh proudly named her Cherry Cinnamon. You can see all of the fun in this post here!
