Elf on the Shelf Breakfast 2012

This year, our very own elf came to us from the North Pole and Kayleigh named him Selsie. Selsie brought with him lots of breakfast goodies. We invited Kayleigh’s neighbor and BFF over to share in the festivities. Her elf is very ambitious and comes the day after Thanksgiving. His name is Candy Cane.

I was browsing at Walgreens and came across a green and pink striped décor and thought, “Well now, this could work!” I once again, checked out Pinterest and came across cute snowman pancakes, and an adorable post by Little Pumpkin Grace about their Elf Breakfasts. I love reading her posts because they are so creative and adorable. She is all about creating the lasting memories- that is for sure.
Selsie got to work and set up the table and then perched himself right between two little gumdrop trees set in "snow" between the two girls. He found cute little reindeer for the girls and put them at their place settings. They enjoyed hot chocolate, white chocolate chips, marshmallows, and red and white swirled lollipops!  Such fun!! What a great job he did setting everything up!

Merry Christmas!

Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party

Happy 4th Birthday Kayleigh!
Kayleigh wanted to have a Strawberry Shortcake Birthday party this year so we set to work. I found a delicious strawberry cake recipe and made homemade frosting and topped the cake with strawberries. I also made strawberry cupcakes for the kids.

This was back in my early birthday party planning days. The days before Pinterest..... the days before I realized one of my ultimate creative passions- Party Planning!

So, we set out pink and yellow tablecloths for the kids to sit on and have a picnic, we also set out little flower pots that I decorated and personalized with each guest's  name using ceramic markers in white, red, and green. I drew little strawberries around each edge of the pots. The kids took turns planting their own little strawberry plants!

So cute. Very low key, just lots of sun, fun, and playing outside.

Happy Birthday little one!
