Minion Movie Night to Celebrate Second Grade!!!

Assemble the Minions!!!! It is time to celebrate second grade!!!!

Kayleigh and I wanted to celebrate her beginning of second grade this year so we decided to throw a Minion Movie Night for her and some of her friends! We had them all bring their sleeping bags and after a dinner of "Stuffed Crust" pizza, cupcakes, candies, "Coconutties" and minion shaped graham crackers and cheese nips, along with "Freeze Ray Fizz" (blue Gatorade) and "Shrink Ray Soda" (orange soda), they were able to run around outside and jump on the trampoline. I had thought about ordering a bunch of mini silver beach balls for "Shrunken Moons" to put in the trampoline, but time got away from me.

The kids had a great time. We also did a craft called, what else? "Assemble A Minion!" We used yellow shredded paper for craft bags, googlie eyes, plastic clear ornaments and yellow pom poms. They came out so cute and were a great fine motor activity.

After that, we cleared the assembly floor and laid out the sleeping bags. Popcorn was served and the movie started! By the end, only three friends were watching it, the rest were outside burning off their water, soda and popcorn, but it turned out fabulous!!!

Goodie bags were filled with gummy bananas, banana runts, and blue and yellow sixlet candies. We used yellow tissue balls with printed minion eyes on them and teal lanterns to complete the look. Kayleigh and I had painted a minion at a Plaster Fun Time location and her "fluffy" unicorn added to the theme.  The labels for the soda and Gatorade can be ordered here. My minion party pinspiration board can be found here!

Enjoy the pictures!
